design before moving to the build stage. Our objective is to listen, log, learn, this ensures the
clients requirements are fully understood before creating outline designs, system
architecture and a timeline for delivery of the finished project.
Once the consultancy stage has been signed off, Noir Technologies recommends clients invite other development agencies to quote for their project using the signed off consultancy brief.
Submitting a signed off brief to other agencies helps ensure the project is competitively priced, especially as all quotes will now be based on what the client actually wants, rather than what other agencies might think they need.
As quotes come in clients will be better positioned to make an informed decision when choosing the best agency to award their project to.

Spending a little upfront on consultancy and planning made perfect sense, as the
project may have ended up costing NoirTaxi much more in time and money. Having a
detailed technical plan in place before signing contracts ensured the project came
in on time and on budget.
I need to declare my interest in Noir Technologies, as the business was born out of my frustration whilst wandering through the minefield of development agencies when trying to find an agency to build NoirTaxi.
Having wandered through the minefield I thought there must be a better way for businesses to find the right development agency, and accurately assess those agencies from the quotes provided. In order to do this every agency needs to be quoting from the same detailed specification, which in many cases is not in place because clients are not quite sure what they want (technically speaking) or how to achieve it, which then leaves it open for agencies to guide clients one way or another. This often leads to wildly varying quotes/timelines from those quoting, which can leave clients a little disillusioned to say the least.
Providing development agencies with detailed plans and realistic timeline for the delivery of your project, demonstrates to them that you have a clear understanding of what your project requirements are. Quotes and timelines will then be more accurate as this leaves less room for agencies to guide clients one way or the other, and if one quote (say out of 4) is wildly out, you know who’s winging it!

Going digital is something we’ve been putting off for a while, as we felt
transitioning the business would disrupt day-to-day operations and could possibly
bottom line. Whilst going digital is essential for any business (especially if it
wants to remain competitive), deciding when and how is quite a daunting prospect
when you’re already very busy running a successful expanding business.
However, our fears were laid to rest when we asked Noir Technologies to consult and provide detailed plans to help BTRL go digital. Within days Noir Technologies sent a team to do a time and motion study of our operation, they also interviewed members of staff to ascertain (from their view point) what aspects of their job might benefit from digitalization.
From the intelligence gathered Noir Technologies produced a prototype and presented this to our staff for feedback, amendments were made and a “Statement of Works” was produced (SOW).
There was one final round of minor adjustments to the SOW, after which contracts were signed and the digital transition of Black Taxi Rentals Ltd was on its way. Great service and a good company to do business with!
